If you request, you c an take a quick lesson in the fields and have a hands-on experience! The fields also have fish-trapping areas.

Small but very pleasant museum. Entrance is free (the gallery closes at 5pm during low season) and the staff was really kind and helpful. The terrace, where some rice grows, is lovely. Perfect place to spend an hour on your way back from the beach!
Entrance fee: Free Laman means field and Padi stands for rice in Malay. So Laman Padi essentially means rice field. This vast open complex comprises of number of rice fields, herb gardens and galleries or museums where the process and evolution of rice cultivation & harvesting in Langkawi is exhibited.
A small musuem for you to understand the process of rice. The tour guide is off on Sunday. Please call and make arrangement before you go! I believe it will be interesting with explanation of tour guide
Padi field picture stop, complete with scarecrows, tractor and big yard for photos. Open to public even if the offices are closed.
Nice environment & good food. Make sure U discover the place at every corner especially up the stairs. The paddy is even planted on top of the roof 😊
