About Langkawi Sky Bridge, Langkawi Island

One of the iconic structures of Langkawi, this Sky Bridge is a recently set up attraction that draws a lot of travelers here. This is a suspended bridge, built on the surmounting top of Machinchang mountain. What makes this bridge jaw dropping is that it is suspended at a height of 100 m above ground with the help of an 82m high single pylon. At one moment, this bridge can hold upto 250 people who get astounded by the views that it offers. Swinging in the air, and offering spectacular panoramic views, this bridge is a specimen of astonishing modern technology and innovation. The reason it is quite different from others is that it is curved rather than straight making it look more exciting to look and walk at. So, as you keep on stepping ahead, you will be able to enjoy different views. The bridge was officially opened to public in 2005 and has been ever since then, one of the biggest attractions of Langkawi. It is located at the end of the cable car ride.

Langkawi Sky Bridge, Langkawi Island Reviews

  • First thing, when travel to this place on end of November and whole month for December must buy the express ticket because the year end is raining season with strong wind so the service of the cable car will be delayed because safety purpose. And this, the staff trained well in this critical moments. Top of this mountain very beautiful and strong wind and definitely very cool so must prepare. Beside the cable car is the sky bridge ,must go to experience it. Nice view, nice weather ,nice bridge.

  • Amazing place, do not miss if you're in Langkawi! Spectacular views of the island and the blue waters all around, the entire sky bridge complex is split into 2 levels and 3 sections, do visit all of them, each has a different charm! Plan your trip ahead and be aware of the weather, best to go around late afternoon around 4:30/5 and stay until sunset around 6/6:30. Public transport back to your hotel may be difficult to get after dark, so plan accordingly!

  • Nice experience! Had a blast going up with the sky cab! Very crowded but enough room to take decent pictures of the amazing scenery. Would recommend taking the sky float (or what its called) because the walk along the steps is not the most comfortable.

  • Great place to have great photos. Great views and inexpensive. Overall a wonderful experience. Better to come early in the morning as the sun will cook you later on. Wear light cloths and put on sunblock cream. Tickets can be bought from bottom station or 2nd platform.

  • The bridge stands tall between the plush green mountains offering some breathtaking views of deep valleys and Islands. You can reach there from Sky Cab top station using either sky glide or stairs. Unfortunately the sky glide was out of order the day we visited so we need to go through stairs. The way was very tiring but it was worth the walk. The ticket is 5RM per person. The bridge has three small glass floor areas too were you can see deep down
