Kayak Point Park Reviews & Ratings

  • Been here for 2 weeks. The camp host, Kim, is amazing. If she is on duty she will sacrifice sleep for her campers. And the Rangers here are also wonderful. Beautiful grounds and they work hard to keep it that way. My daughter loves the playground and as a tent camper, it's surprisingly homey even 2 weeks in.

  • Very peaceful place to go sit and think look for shells Driftwood. They have an amazing dog that you can watch the scenery or fish off of if you have a license. It’s $10 for a pass for the whole day. They do have hurts but you can rent and camping during the spring and summer time. Look online for more details. It is very well-kept no garbage that I seen anywhere. They do have covered areas that have parties and barbecues every covered area has to barbecue pits that are on a metal stand as well as tables outside that are not covered. With its own burn/barbecue pit out there. It is very well laid out all the spots to sit and eat and barbecue are only 20 to 30 feet away from the water depending on tide level. This would be an area that you can take kids because There is a large playground in the middle of the site. At the far south end of it there is a large kitchen style outdoor area. There is three areas with large grassy fields to play. Plenty of parking along a quarter mile stretch of beach. I would highly recommend this place on a sunny day in the spring or summer and I would even recommend it on a winter rainy day if you enjoy looking at the scenery around the bay. I hope this helps have a wonderful day.

  • Beautiful vista, fun playground, clean restrooms those are the pros. The cons are minimum parking that is available by the beach. Arrive SUPER early to park at beach level. Pay for parking by debit/credit card ONLY no cash accepted. The two 80+ year old family reunion attendees that I helped to their reunion (not mine) one collasped after arriving to the shelter, had to walk too far for their age. If they would have had to walk down the hill and back up I am positive an emergency room visit/ambulance ride would have been involved. There NEEDS to be more parking at the beach level.

  • This place is awesome...it's clean, has bathrooms & a place for garbage, plus plenty of space for playing! We caught crab, splashed in the Sound, the kids had fun on the playground & the sunset was amazing!. Parking is limited, so that's the downside & a $10 cover makes it not a frequent stop, but a fun place to visit every now & then.

  • Amazing park. Family friendly. Lots to do. The beach, camping, fishing off there dock, hiking trail. Kayak has yurts people can rent. The beach water front has picnic tables and bbq. Some picnic have a awning.
