Named after the first Victoria Cross holder from Garhwal Rifles, Darwan Singh Negi, the Garhwali Museum or Darwan Singh Museum is known for the exclusive collection of Garhwal Rifles. The museum exhibits some of the rare rifles and is located near the Parade Ground. The museum which was started in 1983, also displays some old photographs of army generals, their uniforms, arms and also some useful information about the Garhwal rifles. Garhwali Musuem, Lansdowne Reviews
Very nicely maintained museum by Garhwal regiment showing their legacy and proud moments in serving country. I like this place very much and specially photos of our great warrior, their devotion for motherland. Never before seen such old rifles and other ammunition captured from Pakistanis in war. They have also maintained nice park in surrounding a perfect blend for war and peace.
It's a wow place for Indian army lovers! Must visit to closely understand our defence history and great stories of martyrs. You will feel proud to know about our soldiers after visiting this place. Truely inspirational experience! Salute to Indian army!!
An army museum packed with everything, From the weapons seized during the war with Pakistan and China to the army awards presented to the regimental soldiers. It gives you an insight in the history of the regiment. Totally worth a visit! 👍
It is one of the best museum maintained by army authorities. The museum will take you to history of Veer garhwalis. It is open for all with a nominal ticket of Rs 20 per person. Car parking is available.
