Garhwali Musuem, Lansdowne Reviews

  • The museum provides the basic knowledge of the Garhwal regiment starting from its inception and it's various encounters. The museum was well coordinated. Nice historical photograph and maps can be seen here. One can also have a look of the weapons from the earlier era used by the brave army men of the regiment. The guns kept there are also worth a look.

  • Very nice museum with valuable antiques, photographs and historical literature, which enlighten us about the glorious & courageous achievements of the Garhwal Regiment (Indian Army). It also has ample information for the visitors about the history of Garhwal and the Garhwali people, their culture, and also the mythological facts about the region. The museum is very well maintained and the ambience is also very cool and calm. The charges are also very nominal! There's also an Army helipad just outside the museum! Full marks to the museum and the Garhwal regiment which maintains it!

  • Nice place... the land of veer gharwalis. Salute Indian army

  • Very good historic collection. Lighting could be better. Less number of displays would have made place look much more graceful. Nice courteous staff.

  • Almost everything it had about garhwal culture and tells the history how brave Garhwal's people were.
