In order to witness the extravagance of the picturesque Shivalik range, you should definitely visit the highest point of Lansdowne, the Tip-in-Top Point. The hilltop is located just 2 kilometres from the main city centre and it allows you to enjoy some stunning panoramic views. This particular point is surrounded with oak and pine trees and is still less explored by tourists. If there is no fog and you’re lucky enough, then one can even witness the snow clad mountains of the gigantic Himalayas, from the Tip-in-Top Point.

  • Lovely place. one of the my favorite destination. Every one fall in love with the scenic beauty.

  • (Lansdowne) It's a small place but beautiful. You will enjoy the road journey once you will start climbing mountain, its only 30 km drive on mountain. I have added some of the pic's of tip and top.

  • This is one of the most prominent tourist place in Lansdowne. Natural beauty exists all around with chirping of birds which a soothing to ears. Lots of pine trees. Cool air will give you a fuzzy feeling. You would love to inhale it deeper and deeper through your nostrils. You can stay here in GMVN cottages @ ₹ 2600/- (two persons) and upwards. Better go for advance booking on GMVN website at least three days before your stay. Cottages are made of wood and good for stay and give you a different nice experience. Maintenance, however, is average. Food is horrible, carry your own food with you (being a pure vegetarian I'm writing about veg food).

  • Top marks for location...service is okay. It's more like a guest house than a resort so don't expect too much. Not very well maintained but rooms are clean. Good for a 1-2 stay. Book early as it's always full.

  • Stayed a night in 103. Nice location, right at the top of the mountain with pine trees all around, birds , crickets, wind rain you can hear the lot. Nice walks as round More of a quiet getaway , not much by the way of amenities, disappointing Maintainance is sorry and shoddy. Nature makes up for most of the things that are lacking. You can enjoy as a couple, or a all boys party but family will kids will be bored.
