The White Pagoda Mountain, also known as the Baita Mountain, is located in the Gansu province. Spread over an area of 3 million square meters and with a height of 1,700 meters, the mountain boasts of a marvelous landscape. The mountain held significant military importance to ancient china due to its location. It is named after the white pagoda that was built in Yuan dynasty. The pagoda was built in the memory of a Tibetan lama who died on his way to Mongolia, at the hands of Genghis Khan. Since then this snow-white Buddhist pagoda has become a popular religious site.
