  • We love coming up here for the day whether it's during the summer or during the winter. During the winter you can sit up in the lounge area and watch everyone ski and have their wonderful catastrophes. They also have a very decent Restaurant and Bar that are really nice and segregated from the rest of the tables were people can bring their own food and snacks. They also have a store that allows you to purchase any items you might have left it at home so you can enjoy your skiing experience. Along with many different types of ski areas for all levels. During the summer it's just beautiful to go out on a hike on

  • This is one of my favorite places to ski. The employees are kind, the lift lines super short and the hill forgiving. Love going here!

  • My family's place to go for boarding and skiing. Sure, not quite the scale of the Colorado mega resorts, but instead of being surrounded by a bunch of posers that paid too much for lift tickets and the latest greatest gear, you have normal unpretentious people out for a fun day on the slopes. Added bonus the lodge/rental shop is ran by easy going friendly people and for $30-40 you can feed a family of four. Try that anywhere in Summit county. 😉

  • Overall a nice place to ski. My two kids (12 & 11) and I all took lessons - we were very satisfied with the level of instruction and personalized attention given to us. It would be nice to have a sledding area for family members who decide skiing just isn't for them. (My daughter wasn't too keen on the idea of snow-skiing, but she gave it a chance, ultimately decided it just wasn't for her.... Unfortunately there was nothing else there for her to do while my son and I skied; thank goodness she brought a book!)

  • As for a smaller ski area in Wyoming. It is great. It is at 3 stars because of the windy and nasty days that can happen, that can happen everywhere in winter, but it seems like it is always a bit windy here. If you go on the right day you ski right off the run onto the lift with no wait at all. It is cheaply priced. Overall pick your day wisely, I have literally been stopped before by the wind while skiing down hill. With that said I have also been there on a fresh powder day that I shared with only 60 other skiers on the entire mountain, very little wind and beautiful. Good conditions are obtainable here but watch weather closely before you book.
