Sint Jansbasiliek is a particularly beautiful Basilica nestled in the stunning village of Laren that dates back to 1924. The Basilica houses innumerable art treasures, some of which are inconspicuous while other attracts attention. Upon arrival, you would be able to spot the statue of John the Baptist that is pointing towards something and stands tall at a height of five meters. Also, within the Church, there are several stained glass windows which have been donated by the parishioners over the years. The windows found above the main altar are absolutely beautiful and represent the story of John the Baptist. Sint Jansbasiliek has a rich history and upon visiting, you would be able to appreciate all the aspects that it is known for.
