The 1,450-mile-long Colorado River boasts to be one of the prime rivers in the Southwestern United States. The river starts from the central Rocky Mountain of Colorado, flowing southwest across the Colorado Plateau and through the Grand Canyon, to later widen into Lake Mead, formed by the Hoover Dam in las Vegas. You will see that below the Hoover Dam, the Colorado River passes under the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, standing tall at a height of 900 feet above the water. Flowing through the Black Canyon, the Colorado River offers great opportunities to enjoy river rafting to the adventurers.
