About Eggslut, Las Vegas

Eggslut is a fast food restaurant in Los Angeles and Las Vegas known for its signature dish "The Slut", a coddled egg on pureed potatoes. The Grand Central Market in Los Angeles where Eggslut opened a brick and mortar shop, was named as one of the top 10 new U.S. restaurant's by Bon Appétit for 2014. The restaurant's name has been included in a list of risqué names by KCET and the New York Times, with Eli Altman stating that having a boring name may mean that an advertisement doesn't attract attention, and 65 percent of respondents of a KCET poll stating they would be more likely to visit a restaurant with a "gross name". Samuel Muston wrote that "Eggslut" falls into a category of "quirky" restaurant names, but that "the collision of the word 'egg' and 'slut' doesn't exactly encourage the appetite". In March 2017, Eggslut temporarily opened a pop-up concept store at Chefs Club Counter restaurant in Nolita, New York.

  • First off I'm not that big an egg fan but the wife is and she saw the reviews so we had to go. The queue was quite big and there's only one till but with such a small menu orders were taken quickly and it was about a 10 minute wait. I went for the Fairfax which has no meat, I was interested to see how good they could make an egg taste. And I have to admit it's the nicest egg I've ever tasted. Really well cooked and put together. Was only the wait (should have an extra till for how popular they are) and the price stopped this being 5 stars.

  • When in Vegas, always try new food! Kudos to my colleague who found this little gem in the Cosmopolitan. The bread is delivered fresh every morning and all of the ingredients are made fresh. Compared to other "sausage, egg, cheese" sandwiches? Doesn't come close. Every bite was succulent and rich, hell, the line wasn't too long either. The service was fast. I would definitely visit again!

  • Nice breakfast joint. The bacon egg and cheese was nice, but was a little greasy. Service was good and quick. Prices were ok, still a little high (even for the strip). Worth a visit but don't expect your mind to be blown. P.s. $5 for OJ!?!

  • The food is fantastic. Totally worth the wait in line. The best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Make sure to try the biscuits, too, as they're phenomenal.

  • The line is fairly short in the morning. It's a bit pricey but worth it. I'd advise against the sandwiches, they are primarily just bread.
