Luxor has some really cool architecture and plenty of popular Las Vegas attractions that make it a solid place to stop on your trip. That said, it is quite dated and shows it in the room quality and cleanliness. Mandalay Bay is a bit nicer and right next door, but the best hotel and casino options are further north on the strip. Still a great experience. Especially if you haven't been to Vegas before.
We had a Great Time!!! The service was impeccable (Kim). The rooms are new, large and very clean. I appreciated the full cable tv with a lot of premium channels, including music. The family had a fantastic time celebrating a birthday in Ohio and the hotel stay was a major factor. Keep up the good work!!
The hotel has very nice architectural idea and building design (from outside). However, it looks pretty old inside. In addition they have issues with air quality on the ground floor - the smell of cigarettes is everywhere and it makes it hard to breathe sometimes, especially if it's crowded in casino. Their buffet is quite good though. I would give 3.5 out of 5. And also Luxor Hotel is very close to the airport which is very convenient.
I'm glad that I stayed here once but I don't think that I would stay again. The hotel is very unique. Getting to the room was a real chore being as there are only elevators in one corner of the building and our room was on the complete opposite side. The room itself was pretty dingy too. There was a tray of old food laying on the hall floor for two days of our stay. After checking out at least a dozen other casinos I think I liked the Luxor the least. I don't want this to seem like a negative review because the Luxor is pretty nice, it's just that there's so many other places near by that blow this place away. I would recommend to stay away from the buffet, it's the equivalent of golden corral.
The Luxor Hotel is a super cool looking place. I only walked through the hotel and enjoyed their buffet, but it was a great experience. The hotel is so facinating with it unique design and the closer you get the more impressive it becomes. The buffet inside the hotel was amazing, offering dozens of items for you to enjoy. Would definitely consider staying here in the future.
