The Luxor is a really cool hotel to visit when staying in Vegas. I cannot speak for how the rooms are because I have never actually stayed in the hotel before, but the Casino and general entertainment is nice. The Luxor has a nice selection of restaurants to choose from and is home to quite a few exhibits. While we were there we saw the Bodies exhibit as well as the Titanic artifacts. Both very cool and came in a bundle deal which saved us some money. The inside looks really cool and is laid out in such a way that things are easy to find. The casino is fairly large and the elevators are really cool to ride (they move up and diagonally along the pyramid). The buffet is pretty on par with other buffets in Vegas. They don't have the largest selection but it is a nice layout. My only complaint is the location. Although it is very easy to travel between Excalibur, The Luxor and Mandalay bay because of the walkways between them- to get to the rest of the strip is kind of a hike. Still, this is a must see on the list of Vegas hotels.
I love me some Luxor. It is my go-to place to stay in Vegas. They take care of me when I stay here and offer me promotional deals regularly. The rooms are pretty nice and I enjoy the novelty of the Egyptian theme. The monorail is just at MGM, so it is not far. The location is good, especially if you're here to attend a concert at the MGM village across the street.
Update: They have begun to remodel and seem to be doing more maintenance. Amazing Building and fun to visit. Unfortunately, they aren't maintaining the building. They aren't cleaning the exterior windows. It was difficult to see outside from the room, and the pyramid no longer has the shine it once had. It is turning white from all the hard water damage. The Hotel room was very muggy due to the A/C unit not working properly. The A/C unit was also very noisy. The shower drain was clogged and after a 5-minute shower, the water was 4 inches deep. I spoke to the front desk about the issues and they refunded the $29 resort fee.
Wonderful space. Seems like they have designed this place for you never to leave! The hotel has several eating places, great show and exhibitions. I saw the Bodies walk through museum. A definite see if your at all interested on life on what your insides look like lol. Best thing it's right on the strip walking distance to anything you'll need from nightlife to food sights and sounds. You will not be disappointed. Rooms were also adequate and maid service was exceptional. I'll be back again, soon too because they gave me a free trip back!
Stayed in the Cleo Pyramid room. Worried about decor after reading reviews, I was hesitant, but it was lovely! Must be recently renovated. Very nice. The only things keeping me from a 5 star are the check in process was not welcoming whatsoever and air conditioner didn't ever kick on so it got very stuffy and warm. But I would definitely stay here again. Great place for the price.
