The Mrs. & were in the midst of this place in June 2017 and we would have enjoyed seeing a lot more of it... but given that we were already hell-bent on getting in as many last-minute stops that we had already planned for on the way back to LA from Laughlin NV as our schedule would allow, we could not. It’s a desolate but achingly beautiful place and I ever get the chance to go back I certainly would... but other bucket list destinations take priority!
Great place to live, work and play. Amazing wildlife. The summers take some getting used to. So many things to see and do. Inexpensive living as well. I can understand why, not for everyone.
I got attacked by an old man with a glowing blue sword... Would not recommend. Also... Death valley does live up to it's name.
Was stationed at camp Irwin California near Barstow. Got brutal sunburn. Saw many sidewinder rattlesnakes and jack rabbits. Rained one day to the point of nearly flood stage and two hours later was dry. Once went into death valley. Army paid my way so I can honestly say i probably would not have visited there otherwise but if an opportunity arises I would recommend an exploratory visit.
A must see! Amazing beauty! Take a cooler with drinks and ice, just b.c. to be safe. Not many places to eat and drink. Definitely worth your time
