The Aquarium at Silverton is a 117,000 gallon reef aquarium housing over 4,000 exotic underwater creatures. The highlight of the aquarium however, are the ‘mermaids’ swimming in the water, who put up cute shows and even interact with kids. These ‘mermaids’ (women dressed up in costumes) are professionals and every mermaid is scuba-certified. Apart from the mermaids, you can also catch divers feeding stingrays at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily.

The Aquarium At Silverton Reviews & Ratings
Stayed here for a wonderful exchange of vows. The hotel, though, is hard to recommend. It's far from everything, and for a fairly basic hotel casino just a bit more expensive than you'd expect. If you've always wanted to pay extra to stay at a hotel built onto a Bass Pro Shop, this is for you. Otherwise, you may find a better time elsewhere.
We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. The rooms were beautiful very comparable to the ones on the Vegas strip. We visited this hotel again just last week, the aquarium is a must see, complete with live feedings and real Mermaids! Even if you are not a sportsman you have to visit the Pro Bass shop. They have baking and cooking items, spices and clothing. The buffet was also very good, many varieties and selections for every taste palette. The hotel/casino does not have the busy, hectic feel of the casinos on the strip, which we liked. But you would definitely have to rent a car to get to other popular places around town. We found out that there is a shuttle that takes you to select hotels on the strip, but I am not sure if there is a fee. Very nice hotel.
The only negative would be the wait of about 2 hours before we got a text to come to another wait at the cashier, to pay the $40 to enter. Everyone was courteous, and the food was well prepared. They were generous giving each customer 2 small lobsters, baked, or steamed. The fried oysters, and jumbo shrimp dish were great too. We would definitely return, and just put up with the wait!
Very nice off the strip casino and hotel. Casino is good sized with plenty of food and beverage options. Seemed cleaner than many I have been in. Connected to a large Bass sports store. Hotel was a good value, spartan but comfortable and clean. Short drive to the strip, easy to find. Only ate at the coffee shop which was fine for breakfast, cannot comment on other meals. Would definitely stay here again. Returned for another visit 9/2019 and place is still in great shape. Planning to stay again.
Amazing place off the Strip. And with its connection to Bass Pro Shop it's such a flow. You can walk thru the casino to amazing aquarium and just feel like you are in the sea. You can lounge, drink a coffee, watch the fish...its truly amazing. Also walked around, lots of kids, and we had one with us, and it was kid oriented. No frowning faces cause you're in Vegas with kids. Comfortable.
