About 30 kilometers northwest of Launceston is one of the prettiest waterfalls Tasmania has to offer. These are actually two cascades, neither of them very tall, both of them easily accessed via a short 15 minute return hike through an eucalyptus forest. The path will take you directly to the base of the first waterfall, but you can only view the second from a viewing platform. It’s a serene little place with modest picnic facilities. There are public toilets, barbecue spots and also a children’s playground. There is usually a camper or two at this site.
