Fantastic place, really worth taking the time out of your vacation to see this marvel.
What a hidden gem this site was. Still very raw compared to the normal museums but definitely a must see for someone interested in the landings. The story behind this battery makes it even more interesting. If you are there make sure you buy the book by Gary Stern. Highly recommended .
We toured most of the main D-Day sites from Utah all along to Sword beach and this was probably our group's favourite site. You are given a map so as you walk around the area, you know what the structures original proposes were. The little cabin ticket office was full of memorabilia and the lady who was there was very friendly and helpful. The site was still being excavated in areas but there is a lot to see and it tells an interesting story. Must visit site.
Fantastic interesting place and whether you are interested in the world war or not it's a place I would recommend. From the road it looks like an overgrown field. When you start walking you find yourself in deep trenches. Along the way there's concrete bunkers. These are fascinating. Definitely worth a visit.
Great place to visit Have now opened more trenches Really interesting. Lot to see
