Truly amazing experience for a nature lover in Mauritius. You have to hike some.3.5km but it's worth all your efforts. Wonderful wonderful scenery of mountains meeting Sea, you won't get it everywhere in the world.
ALL GOOD. Walk away from the crowded public beach, with it's party load of buses, drums,(if only they could play), screaming kids ,especially at the weekends, SEA URCHINS Are everywhere, to come across this clean ( no rubbish), empty stretch of beach. A real pleasure. Safe for swimming. No One to bother you. NICE restaurant/ bars in hotel nearby to refresh. As about private as you can get.
Relaxing and enjoying place. Good for pictures and other activities nearby.
Nothing like it. The views here are amazing. The higher up the mountain you go the more amazing the views become. Takes roughly 1hr to reach the fencing using guided paths. Then it's up to you to freeclimb to get to the peak of the mountain. I never managed to reach the top due to the rainy weather which made it extremely slippery and unsafe. Nevertheless knowing people who managed to reach the very top , they say that the view and the top is 10 times better then the view before the fencings. If you are visiting Mauritius this is an experience you don't want to miss out on. Plus you don't need to pay a guide or tourist agency , it can be done all by yourself🙂
Der Aufstieg auf den Berg ist atemberaubend, und anstrengend. Ein Guide ist vorgeschrieben und auch notwendig, da teilweise schwierige Stellen zu überwinden sind.
