As a member it's great to have this on our door step made all the better for having a Betty's Cafe on site and within the gardens themselves, even if it is a little on the pricey side. The gift shop has a good garden centre section with expert advice and also a good little bookshop. The gardens themselves are beautifully kept and you can spend a good long morning exploring all the areas including some great kids parts including a tree house and log walk.
Our first visit to meet Santa at Harlow Carr and the experience was superb. Perhaps the best Santa we have ever encountered and not just because he has a real white beard. Harlow Carr's Santa was the best simply because his character play was the most delightful and sincere we have ever seen. Take your children along to see him. You will not be disappointed. Booked ourselves in to meet Santa again this year. Got to be quick though as tickets sell fast.
A beautiful garden full of wildlife and beautiful plants and floors. There are several areas for children to play and a pen for chickens. If you wander a bit, there are fantastic chimes to play. The Betty’s on site is much quieter than the one in the centre of Harrogate. A plus for those who don’t have time to wait.
Super place to go with the family. Different in every season of the year. Great activities, playgrounds and tree houses for the kids. Good cafe and coffee booth. Wonderful if you are a gardener or not!
My favourite garden in the district. Always something different to see at each phase of the seasons. Magnificant trees, glasshouses. Demonstrations of how you can do things in your own garden at home. Lots of learning events. Great!
