Pangong Lake - Review
The Pangong Lake is an exquisite and worldwide famous closed drainage lake spread across a vast area in the Himalayas. The major portion of the lake falls in the territory of Tibet. The lake has been categorized under the protocol of the Ramsar Convention as a great wetland reserve with a recognized global importance. Consequently, the lake has attained the status of the inaugural international wetland in South Asia.
The lake characteristically freezes at the onset of winter. Being situated at an altitude of almost 4500 meters, the lake consists of extremely minimal aquatic vegetation and micro vegetation. The marshy areas of the lake feature the flourish of scrubs and few varieties of perennial aquatic herbs. The underwater life is limited to the thriving of crabs and other crustacean beings, with almost no fishes or other forms of marine life.
The lake is also a much favored immigration zone for migratory birds, along with the breeding and dwelling of the Bar-headed goose, Brahmini duck, and several other species of mountain birds.

Pangong Lake, Leh Reviews
Beautiful lake with crystal clear water. Highest salt water lake in the world. Wonderful experience to see the different shades of water in this lake. No words to explain the swimming experience in chilled water of this lake. Love it and wants to visit Pangong Tso again and again.
It's one of the most beautiful places on this planet. Especially on a full moon night, it looks brilliant. Pangong has lots of camp to put a stay in for a night. The 3 idiots spot is very crowded by tourists but if you want to enjoy the lake then go ahead on the coastline. One would barely find any people there.
If you are mountain lovers then you must visit to this place. One of the best place I have ever visited. Best feeling just at looking at the lake. Crystal clear water. Lake looking completely blue which you have seen in books and magazine only. Pollution free environment. Due to non availability of electricity, you may mesmerrize the beauty of sky at night. You may count every single 🌟. Life time memory will be created for sure. ⛺ Service available for reasonable price with breakfast and dinner. Night is chilly with temperature drips below zero.
A beautiful lake that’s regarded as one of the four sacred lakes in Tibet. Absolutely beautiful in the summer and pretty much only us when we made it there. A 20km drive from Rutog and it’s recommended that you have a local guide with you.
If you love to see and explore mountains, then you'll find this interesting. Crystal clear blue water and so good to breathe atmosphere. A nice place for all those who love to wander and explore the unexplored.
