The Landessternwarte Heidelberg-Königstuhl, or the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory is a historic astronomical observatory. Originally opened in the year 1774 close to the city of Mannheim, this observatory was relocated to Königstuhl in 1898. Part of the Centre of Astronomy of the University of Heidelberg, this observatory comprised of two departments: the astrophysical department that was led by Max Wolf, and the astrometric department that was led by Karl Wilhelm Valentine. Aimed with a purpose of research, if you wish to visit this observatory in capacity of a tourist, you would be required to get prior permission.
