The Birkenfeld Zoo is a small animal breeding center founded over hundred years ago with a plethora of native and exotic wildlife. Now you can see the goats and cows at the outdoor enclosures while the indoor exhibits include animals and birds like ducks, geese, canaries, pheasants, owls, and parakeets. Over 7,500 animals will greet you at the Birkenfeld Zoo, of which you can even feed some, such as the seals. The Zum Schönenwald is designed with elegance and it has a banquet hall to cater any private events with a capacity of ninety people.
