Sprawling over 250 acres, the Metea County Park is blessed with the Meno-aki State Nature Reserve encompassing 120 acres and the state designated Cedar Creek that separates the park into north and south sections. Over 5 miles of nature trails meander through the park offering a great opportunity to explore the woodlands and wetlands. The southern section of the park is equipped with old fields, a large playfield, a reconstructed Prairie field, campfire pits around the Picnic shelters, Grills, and the Gloria Goeglein Nature Center with exhibits, gift shop, and event spaces for rental. The 1.5 acre lake offers fishing and swimming or picnicking on the beach. In winter, Metea County Park is a Cross Country Skiing retreat.
