Sprawling over 11119 acres of pristine woodlands covering some sections of Gallia and Lawrence Counties, the Crown City Wildlife Area is part of the unglaciated regions of Southern Ohio. The Crown City Wildlife Area is blessed with a number of streams, ponds and wetlands, forestry and open grasslands, favouring the growth of a plethora of flora and fauna. Apart from some of the elusive birds in the grassland region, you will get to sight a number of species like turkey, grouse, mourning dove, squirrel, cottontail rabbit and whitetail deer. Fishing enthusiasts can find abundant bluegill and largemouth Bass in the ponds. Hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking and wildlife watching are the popular activities here.

Crown City Wildlife Area Reviews & Ratings
It's very pretty but it can be scary if you're alone,
Place was real clean. Relaxing
Its verry beautiful
We visit here a couple times a year to go-to the Fellure and Sheets Cemeteries. The roads are well maintained and you just can't beat the views. We've seen turkey at the Sheets Cemetery most recently and even a bear passing across the road! We could spend hours here.
Peaceful and wonderfully relaxing wildlife area with less people and more forest.
