Just south of La Jolla Shores Park, this children's playground is wide open, brightly grassy and palm tree lined. A line of shrubs separates the park from the boardwalk, making keeping watch over the kids easier. This is one of the few shoreline parks in the city almost directly on the beach rather than on a bluff top. Nice place for the sunset.

Kellogg Park Reviews & Ratings

  • A very nice beach to take your family to. It is a good place to watch the sunset. It seems like at the end of the day, part of the beach gets shut down for only surfing but it was no big deal. The sand is really nice also.

  • This place is a very interesting park. It is right next to the beach so it's very beautiful and very easy to just go to the beach. Although the park only has a small playground they have a lot of open space to play sports, fly a kite, or even just run around playing soccer. It is also a beautiful place to bring some meat and grill it for lunch by the beach

  • It was low key. Great for paddle boards. Parking can be a challenge. Bit of a walk to water's edge. Overall a really nice spot hidden away.

  • This is official name of the grassy park w picnic area and playground that runs parallel to La Jolla Shores. It's a great family friendly area. Just wish restrooms were better maintained.

  • This is a nice park. Nice things to do and see. There's a playground if you're a family, there's the coast for nature watching and even swimming. It's pretty amazing. Right there in the village, La Jolla Village. Highly recommended.
