Keeneland Reviews & Ratings

  • I have yet to go to Keenland as a general admission spectator. My first time in April 2019 was through a clubhouse name-on-a-list type deal per Malone's whose GM was supposed to have a box. We weren't given the number so never did end up sitting in a box just clubhouse grandstand. Never ate in the dining room but got dressed up almost for nothing. Really enjoyed Blue Barbecue brisket plate. Now the same venue is only serving the sandwich but it is still really good. During this Fall Meet, we had a reservation in the Paddock dining area. The service took a while but they made up for it in the end. The lunch selections had some traditional foods and great salad options. Non-alcoholic drinks were complimentary. Horse racing and access to the horses was easy. Took in a few races down at the dirt, a couple in the mezzanine, and some from the paddock walk abouts. Also did valet parking and that ran like clockwork, cost $10.

  • I love Keeneland! If you ever visit Lexington, Kentucky, this is a must do. You can get so close to the horses and jockeys either up by rails or in the paddock area. Plus, there are so many ways to bet on the horses and watch the races. Their food and beverages are great as well. If you want some more up close and personal behind the scenes experiences, they offer a wide variety of tours for a small fee. It really is for everyone. You can spend as much or as little as you want and still have a great time. Not to be missed!

  • Keeneland is always a great time. Did the Paddock this season. Not quite Phoenix room we had done previously. We were in center of room and it was too warm. Service was a little slow. Had to walk to see actual track. We still had a fantastic day and will be back in spring...hopefully in Phoenix room.

  • Really well organized and so beautiful. Definitely worth the detour for me. It was the first time for my party and I watching the races. Some of my friend thought it was slow ( the delay between the races I mean ) . But between the races you can go have a drink , visit the gift shop, watch the horse walk before their race. It’s really a lot of fun.

  • Keeneland is a wonderful way to experience the world of racing. Even with large crowds you feel like you are in the old world of racing with the beautiful Kentucky bluegrass as a backdrop for each race. The staff is helpful and the setting is clean. A charming day all around.
