Lexington Cemetery - Review
The Lexington Cemetery is full of history and graves interspersed with beautiful trees, and peaceful resting sites. It not only is the final resting place of popular citizens of Lexington, but is also home to three places marked in the National Register of Historic Places. The Confederate Soldier Monument pays a tribute to the Civil War veterans. The Ladies Confederate Memorial pays tribute to the wives of the slain soldiers in the war. Throughout the cemetery, there are plants like cherries, magnolias, basswood, irises and many other plants that make the whole place beautiful. A scattering garden is also present in the garden for those who want to spread their ashes and not bury them.
