Raven Run Nature Sanctuary attempts to preserve the present ecology of the Kentucky River Palisades and remnants of the early Kentucky history. There are more than 10 miles of trails in this park. On these trails, visitors are likely to come across many streams, woodlands and meadows that have been here since centuries. Naturally, there are a large number of plants on this trail too. These also attract a large number of birds from the region. Trails are marked out for visitors so that they do not disturb the flora and fauna of the region. The Nature Center provides detailed information about what to expect on the trail.

  • I've gone to Raven Run since I was a kid and now, I'm taking my own children. I've been hiking here for close to 30 years and love having a place like this so close to home. Non if the trails are difficult or dangerous but some can be pretty long and kids get tired a lot easier than you think. Make sure to check out the Overlook but the real gem is the creek.

  • Great place to go take a hike or run and picnic. Don't bring your dog they don't let pets in. Took a hike with my wife and 3 month, 3 and 5 year old. We waited for friends and their kids in the nature center. Lots of things to look at and touch. There was a room with books and coloring that the kids played in while we waited. The lady in the nature center told us of a short route of trails suitable for our group. The trail was shaded the whole way. Had a fantastic time. Going to go back earlier in the day to go see a waterfall that is further back in the trails.

  • Great place to take a walk or hike. Good for beginner and moderate. Red trail has nice overlook of KY river. Worth a short drive to spend some time in the woods.

  • It's just okay. Lot's of weeds. A couple waterfalls. We didn't go through all the trails because I am allergic to weeds if they come into contact with my skin...so I can't speak for the whole area. We covered about 3 miles though.

  • Loved the view of the Kentucky River Overlook. There are about six miles of combined intertwined trails. This is a great place to visit and see some cool scenery!
