Another important horseracing track in Lexington is The Red Mile. Here visitors can watch and cheer for harness races. In this, horses pull wheeled carts called sulkies. Founded in 1875, this is claimed to be the oldest harness track in the world. Since the track here is made from red clay, the owners gave this racetrack the name ‘Red Mile.’ Auctions are held here for buying the best breeds. Wagering is permitted in here. While visitors place bets, they can enjoy scrumptious meals at one of the many restaurants in the premises. There is a clubhouse near the racecourse where visitors can relax after a race.

The Red Mile Reviews & Ratings
Had a fun experience at The Red Mile. The drink prices were actually really well-priced! Wasn't too expensive. The track itself is pretty well-kept up, but I get the impression that The Red Mile draws a crowd that likes to have a lot of rowdy fun. So I'd recommend being weary of that. Watching chariot racing and dachshund racing is a pretty unforgettable experience though!
Stopped in on a whim. Played penny slots for a couple hours, had lunch for $2.99 each since it was 55+ day, and left with $85 more than we came with. They don't have a huge selection of machines but we found several we thought were interesting and enjoyed playing. It was exceptionally clean from the gaming area to the restaurant and even the restrooms were sparkling clean.
Pleasant visit. Ebony, the front desk associate helped me knowing she knew I've never been to red mile. The bar tender Sierra also was very helpful! I recommend this place to all those who haven't been here before!
Machines do not pay! Machines are programmed too tight. Payoff amounts have been lowered. Not worth playing. Go to a real Casino and have fun!
Lack of management and there employees are beyond rude!! Can’t believe any place will sit there and allow there employees to falsely accuse someone of theft!! They escalated the situation to where the person who was involved not only was at risk of loosing there job if not also humiliated. I hope no one ever encounters this problem with them because there low life’s can’t even apologize of they caos they caused.
