The Whitewater Memorial State Park is one of the 16 state parks in Indiana and is located only 8 miles south of Brownsville. This park was established as a memorial for all those American soldiers who lost their lives during World War I & II. The presence of houseboats, many hiking trails, a nine-mile horse trail and lake makes this a popular recreational spot. Fishing is another activity that can be enjoyed here and the bass, bluegill and other small fish in the lake draws a lot of fishermen to this park. An archery range is also available on the premises. Wildlife and bird watching are some other popular activities here.
