It’s not the biggest or the grandest of zoos, but when you’re getting to see 400 animals over a hundred species for free, then you really can’t complain. The zoo is actually quite a cute way to spend the day, especially if you’ve got kids. It’s free entrance actually draws a lot more visitors the you’d expect: 1.4 million annually, making it the 4th most popular recreational attraction in France. The animals include farm animals, game animals, peacocks and grizzly bears. It’s seven exhibits are the Alley Aviary (usually birds of prey), Tropical House (a few reptiles), the Valley of Apes, Lands of America, Lands of Africa, Madagascar and Lands of Asia. And pandas too, serving as the welcoming committee.

  • Awesome place to come with kids. It's not expensive and you get to see a lot of different animals. The kids and adults really enjoyed the trip here. Will definitely visit again more than once. The zoo is well planned out, with different areas and even offers some additional activities for children! Would definitely recommend if you want to spend a great time with your kids. And the best thing is - it's located right in Lille. Very convenient!

  • Great zoo to visit! Don't believe comments that is small or you pay for the entrance. The zoo is very nice, clean and very helpful staff. Very nice walk with children too! The entrance was 4 euro, converted in pounds 3.6 and in the UK the entrance for the Drussilas is 16 pounds and they have 1/100 of the Lille's animals.

  • Amazing!! So many animals that I hadn't seen before? Plus €4!! It's the most amazing day for less than 2 cups of coffee

  • Great place to visit. Not very expensive at 4 euros for an adult entry. It's not very big, but you get to see great animals. It's great that it is outside. The best part was in the aviary. You are in a huge cage where the birds live. You can get really close to them. It's a great space.

  • A fantastic little zoo that is cheap to enter. Very good for small children.
