Akrotiri Shipwreck, Limassol Reviews
A beautiful place very close to Limassol. If you want to swim avoid the western wind (unfortunately very often). When the sea is calm it is very easy to get in the water and after the coastal rocks the sea bottom is Sandy and relatively shallow.
Very nice place for snorkeling, I have been here today it’s amazing 😉
The place is hidden a bit behind the sand-dunes. There is a beach where can catch fish (according to locals) or at least pretend fishing. Also there are occasional jets flying out of the military base. The shipwreck itself is a small ship located around 50 meter offshore. The beach is rocky and not particularly suitable for swimming.
Beautiful place, visit at the sunset for greater experience!
Very secluded, 4x4 not needed but definitely take a sensible car! Lovely to sit and contemplate. Not snorkeling weather when I have visited.
