Ball’s Falls Conservation Area is the perfect retreat to step into the heart of nature. The area is comprised of many ecosystems and is home to a large number of plant and animal species. There are around 471 plant species including wild leek, wild geranium, trilliums, wild ginger, arrowhead Canada yew, red mulberry, and many more. The trees dominating the conservation area are butternut, black walnut, white oak, tulip tree, slippery elm, and white oak. This park has many ancient structures including the Ball family home, a gristmill, a lime kiln, a restored church, a carriage shed, and a blacksmith shop. The most mesmerizing feature of the park is the namesake waterfall which is a treat to the eye, especially during the rainy season. There are many trails in the park that allow you to explore the conservation area to the fullest.
