About Aerobus, Lisbon

Aerobus is a self-propelled electrically powered bus-like vehicle riding on a suspended overhead cable. The cable arrangement, similar to a suspension bridge, allows for long spans of up to 600 metres between pylons. The Aerobus system was invented in the late 1960s by Gerhard Mueller of the GMD Mueller aerial lift company in Switzerland. The patents to Aerobus are currently owned by Aerobus International Ltd. of Houston, Texas, United States.

  • Waited over 30mins for a bus to airport, no way to track how often they come and how long it will take. Aside from that it is clean and convenient.

  • Goes in circles without telling you, loud music.

  • No reliable departure time. Drivers don't follow timetable at all. It would be a very nice service.

  • Sehr gute und schnelle Art um vom Flughafen in die Stadt zu kommen. Der Busfahrer auf der Hinfahrt hat uns sogar nützliche Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben und uns freundlicherweise nahe unserem Hotel raus gelassen da es auf der Route lag. Die Busse fahren regelmäßig im 20-25 min Takt ab bestimmten Haltestellen einen genauen Fahrplan gibt es allerdings nicht.

  • La frecuencia de aerobus entre uno y otro es larguísima. No confiéis k pasan cada 20 minutos porque no es así. Menuda decepción. El problema está k muchos autobuses públicos de línea como el 783... No te dejan subir si vas con maletas más grandes k el equipaje de mano. Servicio pésimo
