Because the other great but more famous viewpoint of Lisbon, Miradouro da Graça, is close by, people tend to ignore this majestic 250 degrees’ overlook. That also means that this location is more peaceful, intimate. The photographs of Lisbon taken from here are brilliant. On the ground, there is a statue of the Virgin. It is associated to the Nossa Senhora do Monte Chapel; the one you see today was built after the 1755 Earthquake, but there’s been a chapel on this site since 1147. People come here to receive blessings for their childbirth.

One of the best views of Lisbon and very easy to get to. There is a cafe right at this location so you can grab a drink and enjoy the beautiful view. Great view of the castle without paying for it. So nice I had went up there twice.
My wife and I were here in our second to last night in Lisbon. We bought a bottle of wine and sat on a park bench to watch the sunset. They were a lot of people coming and going but we had a great view of the sunset. Highly recommend doing the same thing as it is, in my opinion, the best view of overall Lisbon, especially at sunset
A must see viewpoint in all of Lisbon! We were recommended to visit by our host. We were on the stairs side of the mountain so we had a really good hike to get up there. As soon as we reached the top, we were met with stunning views and gorgeous landscaping. From here you can see all the hills of Lisbon and the bay. If you're visiting and want a good view that's worth the climb, this must be on your list.
Lovely view over Lisbon, facing the river, from the east side of the city. Lemonade and coffee stalls are present during summer time. Has a small church. Definitely worth the visit, especially to watch the sunset with friends.
Get a tuk tuk here in time for sunset. Take some beers or buy a cocktail there. Listen to the trumpeter busking and playing jazz classics (then listen the next day at the same time when you can actually hear his music drifting over the city). Watch the sun set with friends, and soak up the atmosphere. Alternatively, walk up here but be prepared for quite a climb. Great views of the city, especially the castle. But you don’t get to see the beautiful setting sun turning buildings orange from this site of the city.
