About Musicbox, Lisbon
A music box or musical box is an automatic musical instrument that produces sounds by the use of a set of pins placed on a revolving cylinder or disc so as to pluck the tuned teeth (or lamellae) of a steel comb. They were developed from musical snuff boxes of the 18th century and called carillons à musique. Some of the more complex boxes also contain a tiny drum and/or bells in addition to the metal comb.Wikipedia

Great atmosphere. Friendly and cool people. Mixed crowd. Reasonable entry prices. We visited on Saturday night and there was house music playing. We enjoyed the music a lot more on the Sunday when they played a mix of soul, disco, funk and blues.
One of the best and more diverse houses around. Cool cats here. Good music. Though it's hugely crowed there. Sound could be better. Also the smoke extraction and air conditioning could be working always. Not just when people complaint. Hope all is better now on this department.
Avoid. Overcharging at the door if you're foreign, slow and uninterested staff at the bar. Probably the worst was the DJ, I've never seen this bad. Pays no attention to it's crowd and spends his time annoyingly being 'cool' and playing his (and only his!) favorite music. What a waste of time and money.
Unique place and location, they offer a big variety of live concerts and music genres. Drinks are not cheap but still its a must visit location for anyone that loves music. Vintage look inside. Entrance requires a ticket purchase but its usually from 6-10euros.
Empty at 2am on a Friday night when neighbouring bars were busy. Waste of money.
