This lovely garden plaza was made to laze about it. A gigantic cedar tree spreads its shady 20 metres wide boughs above you. There’s a cafe where you can irrigate. The surrounding neighbourhood is one of Lisbon’s hippest, not to mention popular with the LGBT crowd – people watching here is perfect. The nearby buildings are all grand too – all 19th century architecture with something Moorish about them. On Saturdays, a weekly market is held here. It’s quite a romantic spot.
