The castle was built in 1641 as a country house. The word Keukenhof means 'kitchen'; in the Jacqueline, Countess of Hainaut used the castle's parks and the nearby Keukenhof Gardens as her herb garden. The castle has since had quite a rich 400 years worth of history. As you're guided through the interior, that history will be brought to life for you through portraits, furniture, monuments and decoration. Altogether there are five areas for you to explore: the main castle, the coach house, Frederick's Court, the court farm, and the 200 acres of woodlands surrounding the castle. When you visit the Castle, there may be a special flower exhibition at the park. It's worth checking out, especially as the fee is covered in the admission price. The food at the restaurant is pretty good, very innovative. And finally, there are events at the castle throughout the year - concerts, festivals, medieval fairs and of course, the spring flower show.

Well worth the visit during the 7 weeks that it is open! Fascinating displays, both inside the pavilions and outside, with breathtakingly stunning centrepieces in each area. The boat rides and guided tours are also very worthwhile. More than just a flower show or botanical gardens. Definitely a must visit! :-)
Tulips plants are blessing of the Nature ! The Management is great ! You can keep your luggage in luggage rooms. (5 Euros Approx) The Entrance Fees is around 35 Euros (when I visited) The Lake inside in Keukenhof is another attraction. The Farmland of Tulips and its showcase tents are great ! You will be able to see Windmill as well. I used all possible time to observe the nature and take lots of pictures :) So get ready with Camera, charge it completed, have good enough space on storage cards!
Nothing express how amazed I were from this garden. It takes place from March till the half of May. It's a paradise of flowers. Reachable with a bus organized by the festival. It's recommended to buy the combined ticket. Visit it on April or May.
This place is such a bliss. If u are visiting in a right season, then you would never be disappointed. Beautiful tulips and other Verity of flowers welcomes you. Must visit place.
I would best describe this place as the Disney world of gardens, if you’ve ever been you’ll know that it is packed with mobs of tourists, a lot to see, and lines of people trying to take pictures with all the flowers. If you are here during the season it’s a must see the designs and tulips are incredible. If your not into mobs of people hold off for a less busy day and time. It’s also a big plus they allow you to bring your dog and outside food!
