Baikal Limnological Museum, Listvyanka Reviews

Google+
  • This is a small museum and I had an English speaking guide with me. I don't know if they provide them in the museum itself. Interesting to see the unique flora and fauna of the region. It is small and perhaps could go into more detail but I enjoyed it. Even the aquarium at the end was good. Loved the 2 seals.

  • It's features distinctive information on flora and fauna which exists in and around Baikal

  • The museum is very nice and not too difficult to get to, provided you're willing to use the often overflowing taxi vans. The interior of the museum has some information in English, though the majority is in Russian. However, most of the material doesn't need descriptions, as it consists of stunning photos taken in winter, interesting artifacts from the lake, detailed topographical models showcasing the depth of the lake, or marine life.

  • Must see Baikal and visit museum to understand about lake more

  • Fascinating museum. Make sure you do the submarine experience. They have a show in English. It was so educational!
