The Arkansas River Trail is one of the best ways to explore the wilderness located on both the north and south bank of the river. The loop trail covers a distance of 88 miles in total. It starts in the downtown area of Little Rock, heads into the wilderness in the west, crosses the river and allows you to explore the north bank and come back again into Little Rock. The tracks will lead you across the riverfront in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Maumelle, and Conway. You will cross the river via the Clinton Presidential Bridge and the Big Dam Bridge. This trail can be navigated on foot, horseback or by a bicycle. Though it’s quite lengthy, the track is quite smooth and the views are simply fantastic.
