Situated atop a hill is an 18th Century shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Grace, memorial room and candle room. It is the most visited attraction and is of religious importance. Sanctuary Of Montenero Reviews & Ratings
For adorer of Papa Giovanni Paolo ii a very nice place. We have been here several times and will be back every time we are in Tuscany.
Great blessing and miracle will happen in a mean time by mother Mary .
We arrived there after checking the opening times on the official website and after driving 1h from where our accomodation was. We struggled to park as there is NO parking in the area and we had a massive SUV (very bad idea in Italy)....after we struggled for 15 mins to find a place we went to the monastery and entered. 30 seconds later a very aggressive and rude man started to shout at us in Italian and literally threw us out with no explanation. We stopped at the restaurant nearby for a coffee and the lovely ladies explained the monastery is closed for an hour or two for lunch. All in all a terrible expereince, waste of money and time and I would not recommend the place as it is nothing to see or do...besides being bullied that is.
Famous place of worship on hills of Livorno. People come here to thank the Lord for help rendered. Many beautiful ‘Ex Voto’s often from 17th century.
Very beautiful place
