  • Beautiful views of Ljubljana from the the grounds of the Castle. You can walk up or pay couple of euros to take the Funicular but definitely walk down to enjoy the view from various angles. Not a bad clime down at all. If you want to get into the museum or the viewing area on top of the tower you have to buy a ticket, which I believe it is around 7 euros each with a discount for seniors and students. Otherwise there are plenty to see without having to pay. There is also a cafe up there.

  • I love the view from the Clock Tower and the National Geographic Photo Exhibition. Otherwise is a very money making orientated place. Too many fancy restaurants and shops. The entrence fee is 7.5 euro per adult. They said you can see all the Slovenian country from the Clock Tower. I think the locals are write.

  • It is a castle. So U can take a paid tour through it, or walk at the top of its walls and have splendid view of the city. There are lots of public events during summer here like film festivals, dance events, theater performances and etc.

  • Castle perched at the top of the hill in Ljubljana. Definitely worth a visit. Possible to access via the funicular or on foot. There are tickets including all attractions on top as well as return funicular trip. There are a couple of restaurants in the castle complex. Possible to walk up the tower for a view of the city.

  • The time machine tour of the castle is lots of fun and gives a good overview of the castle's history and how it has been used over the years. Ticket is ten euros and gets you entry into every exhibition. Would highly recommend the tour or at least using the audio guide so you can understand what you're seeing. The architectural revamps that have been made are really interesting as are the many exhibitions/museums you can view throughout the complex. We had great fun in the puppet museum where you can actually test out some of the puppets. Beautiful views as well of course! All up we spent about 3 hours at the castle.
