  • Very nice place to walk around as most places at the castle can be viewed for free. I would recommend you to go up the tower too (even though there's a fee) since you get a very nice view of the city and surroundings! :)

  • Beautiful views of Ljubljana from the the grounds of the Castle. You can walk up or pay couple of euros to take the Funicular but definitely walk down to enjoy the view from various angles. Not a bad clime down at all. If you want to get into the museum or the viewing area on top of the tower you have to buy a ticket, which I believe it is around 7 euros each with a discount for seniors and students. Otherwise there are plenty to see without having to pay. There is also a cafe up there.

  • Worth a visit. Take the walkway up the hill for a nice walk. It's not necessary to buy a ticket to walk within the walls.

  • Great place to start a day in Ljubljana. Easy access by either walking or funicular. Great views of the city with the mountains in the background

  • Ljubljana Castle is not the most beautiful castle, but is in a lovely setting above the city. It is a short but steep walk (or take the funicular), with views over the city and beyond. There is an excellent restaurant and cafe and a gift shop. You can go down and see the foundations in the rocks. There is a film show about the history of the city and the castle.
