Ljubljana Castle, Ljubljana Reviews

  • It's right in the heart of the city, so you guessed it;it's super busy! But it's totally worth getting in and checking it out. Catch the funicular up and explore the history and learn about this amazing country and it's people. Everything is quite modern inside and it looks like they are doing even more upgrades to the places inside. Amazing views of the town, and if you're a walker you can walk up the hill to get there which is amazing too.

  • Amazingly preserved castle complex that’s well worth a visit for anyone heading to Ljubljana. It’s very picturesque and offers stunning views over the city. You can head into the main central part of the complex for free and have a coffee/drink, while the €7.50 admission gets you access to all exhibitions inside the castle. These included slovenian history, the legend of dragons, a comic strip showcase, and access to the viewing tower for 360 views of Ljubljana. So well maintained and really lovely. Plus, there’s a huge park/ground you can walk around at the top of the hill which is just gorgeous. It’s a bit of a trek, but you can also pay €2.50 for a ride to the top in a cable car.

  • Good fun. Affordable. Excellent presentation. Even if you just take the €4 funicular railway (2 minute ride) you will see spectacular views of Ljubljana (as long as it's not foggy of course 😁).

  • 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who is in town and has a few hours to pass. It is easy to find and access and for people of all ages and abilities. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and you know you are in good hands from start to finish. This is one thing that is not to be missed. Not to be missed

  • Unusually, they have created all sorts of interesting and modern spaces within the castle walls including a jazz club. With a couple of restaurants - one very fancy, there is lots to see and do. Of course, there's the castle itself which is impressive. Don't forget the funicular railway!
