  • Absolute must if just for the fabulous view of the city. Informative and beautiful museum experience. They wove seamlessly the modern infrastructure within this historic castle. Museum was easily navigated as far as accessibility. I hiked up and that was very challenging.

  • A small but well-presented castle, who's real selling point is the stunning views on offer from its walls. In particular, the viewing tower provides sensational panoramic aspects of the surrounding area, including the Alps to the North and West, the city, and the Ljubljanica valley. Information for visitors is clearly displayed and informative (and all provided on English) and there is an attractive courtyard, a restaurant and jazz music venue among the facilities.

  • This castle was renovated and they add some modern design in the renovated area. So there is a mixed feeling of the old and the new times. Aside from touring and exploring the castle, there is souvenir, museum, video presentation and also a restaurant. My comment is the way going to the restroom is too dim and you have to be careful in the stairs. Food is the restaurant is average.

  • We had an awesome time here. I'm all the way up to the top right before the Christmas lights and got to take some great pictures. We took the funicular up and down. Got to see the prison cells in the chapel.

  • The castle is not massive, but it's big enough to explore in an afternoon. The view of Ljubljana from the tower is great, and our kids enjoyed watching the video which explored the history of the castle. Tram ride up to the castle was also fun for the little ones. Pretty good value overall.
