Another exception masterpiece of Plecnik's architectural work is National & University Library. It was built according to Plecnik's architectural design in the year 1936-1941 and is situated at the edge of the medieval town. As you enter the library you will fall into the darkness of Turjaška ulica, made of black marble. However, as you move ahead you will enlightened with the light of the colonnade as well as the light of knowledge. The main Reading Room is a worth visit because of its interior décor brightened up for the stunning lamps and huge large glass walls that were designed by Plecnik.
