Iglesia De Santiago El Real Logrono - Review
Iglesia de santiago el real logrono is a 16th century church with a pilgrim path through the city of Logrono. It is one of the oldest baroque style churches of the city with a magnificent choir and an enchanting chapel. Santiago El Real, How could I fotget the experience in Logroño especially in this parish where the pilgrims of the “camino de Santiago” can pass by and spend a night together with other pilgrims. The people are also so hospitable and welcoming. Togther with the blessing of St. James, the Virgin Mary “Virgen de la marced” completes a great pilgrimage to Logroño, in this parish! Mark, Filipinas
I gave the stars for the entire atmosphere. The place is helped by volunteers, by further priests. There are two rooms, one with beds (very old) and one with matressses where you can sleep. The room with matresses is pretty cool. There is also dinner cooked by the volunteers, breakfast, or you can use the kitchen in between to cook for yourself. The moment made before putting the compostela was the nicest moment from my first week of camino. It's a place supported with heart. If people will realy donate, maybe the conditions for accomodations can be improved.
Cost: by donation. We were greeted by a really friendly man who explained the rules and services. The room had 18 beds which were decently comfortable. There was a family style supper where everyone sang a hymn together, mass, and an evening prayer and blessing for the peregrinos.
