Lions Point - Review

A little hike or a winding journey by taxi will take you to a cliff top which is known as the Tiger’s leap or the Tiger’s point or Lion’s Point. Offering breath-taking views of the Sahyadri mountain ranges, the Tiger’s point is a delight to eyes. There are tea stalls and little snacks selling hot corn brushed with spices and lime which make up as the best snack in the cold weather. On the way to the Tiger’s point, there is also a mountain housing Shivalinga which also offers splendid view of the Western Ghats. During monsoons, there is a small waterfall where you can splash and relax.

Lions Point, Lonavala Reviews

  • This place is one of the attraction as Hill Station in Lonavala. Tiger point and Lion point are in same line. Best time to visit this place is Rainy Season. Well, when you want to fly with the cloud or want feel the cloud touching.. you must go to this place to feel it. Amazing weather and amazing scenic view will definitely give you a charming time to remember. ☺️

  • You get awesome view of the city from this point. Best time to visit is Monsoon. You’ll love the winds and fog. Night time it’s closed but locals can allow you there. In night, it’s quite calm and you can sit and get lost in your thoughts against the cool breeze. You’ll get light snacks such as Maggi and tea there

  • Good view point. Useless to visit if it's misty because a dense fog develops and you can just not see anything properly in such a situation. The sore point is the 50 unreasonable bucks they charge you for parking - but the tea and the roasted corns here are way too tasty and make up for everything. The road leading up to the place is narrow but approachable by car, and there is only one gate for entry as well as exit. Monsoons are the best time to visit, easily. Makes for a very pleasant drive too. The grounds could be cleaner, though. Overall, a nice place for a brief stopover. Rating it only 4 because of the parking scene - it can be managed much better.

  • The place is amazing. Last time i visited it was around 2am early morning. There was this thick fog so you need to better drive carefully and slowly. Once you get up there you will find some shops(illegal) serving hookah with some police helping in this illicit job. The shopkeepers just want to suck the money out of you. Although such a tourist attraction place is full of garbage everywhere. But the experience is amazing, the drive uphill and the weather is ecstatic. Riding a bike will freshen you up.

  • Nice place to chill in the weekend. Far away from the city life. Awesome to visit during the Monsoon. Do plan to reach early in the morning as it gets very crowded later in the day and traffic is a common issue. Be prepared to be stuck in traffic if you are coming by car in the afternoon. So come early.
