Lions Point, Lonavala Reviews
Lion's Point is located on Lonavala-Aamby Valley Road, Dattawadi Road, near Pune which is famous for Sunset & panoramic mountain views. Frankly, there is nothing much to see and review. One can see a Lion look like rock. It is cool place where locals sell tea and snacks (only 4-5 stalls). One can also have a camel ride. It is good during monsoon to visit with family and friends. Parking is not an issue here but it is paid. All around one can see mountains and deep down valley view. Take care, it has got broken railing.
Standing at this point you can see deep valley down. To the left of you is a peak of a mountain. In front is an another mountain. On a bright clear day the view is breathtaking. During the monsoons you can see the clouds by making you feel as though you are in the clouds. Small vendors sell snacks. Ample pay and park space.
It is very good place to visit. Such a cool place. The place is worth visiting. No entry fees taken.you just have to pay for car parking.it is very good to see especially in monsoon season and there is a huge crowd there.we get the clear view of sahyadri mountains covered with full of fog.it is very good scenery to see. We can click lot of pics there with good background of mountains covered with fog.there are also small tents of stalls for snacks.
It is a view point surrounded by mountain ranges. Went there in winter. It was foggy, so the visibility was less. In monsoon, it could be nice for scenic beauty and water falls. The actual place is very dirty with broken fences and dust all around. It seems Govt. has not invested anything other than creating a fence (probably many years before). With broken railings it is very risky also. The road which lead to this place is good.
Really awesome place. Must visit here with friends or family. Visiting during the monsoon you will experience very cool breeze and the fog. Sometimes you can't see the person in front of you due to so much fog. One can see the small streams and waterfalls. A good place for photography. But it's so crowded during the rainy season. There's is ample of parking lot. Also best for new bikers to take their 1st ride.
