Lions Point - Review

A little hike or a winding journey by taxi will take you to a cliff top which is known as the Tiger’s leap or the Tiger’s point or Lion’s Point. Offering breath-taking views of the Sahyadri mountain ranges, the Tiger’s point is a delight to eyes. There are tea stalls and little snacks selling hot corn brushed with spices and lime which make up as the best snack in the cold weather. On the way to the Tiger’s point, there is also a mountain housing Shivalinga which also offers splendid view of the Western Ghats. During monsoons, there is a small waterfall where you can splash and relax.

  • View from this point is amazing. However, they charge a hefty amount of 50 Rs just for parking in a not-so-well maintained ground. Few meters away is Tiger's point. Once again, you need to pay the parking amount if you want to visit this point. Lot of eatery shops at the view point are spoiling the serene place. Irresponsible tourists are making the place dirty. It would be great if there is a limit on parking fee. Also, if travelers and shop keepers become more responsible in preserving the beauty.

  • Lovely time is the monsoon season. Now-a-days in October it is slightly hot. Mornings are cooler and rains are almost gone. Sometimes, according to the temperature rains happen. Otherwise it's a scenic beauty surrounded. This is Lions point which is almost 4000 feet high and wonderful during the rainy season.... It's a worth visiting place for enjoyment and tension free atmosphere....

  • It was all foggy when we went there.. but it was fun.. the climate in this area is awesome.. little drizzling and cool air.. must try their local corn and tea as it is really yummy.. try to go here during sunny weather and clear sky if you want to enjoy the scenic beauty.. They have sufficient parking and charge you 50 bucks for the same.. do take parking slip else they will try to scam you.

  • A very nice and lovely place to visit. The place is completely filled with the Natural beauty. The point is on mountain top so the view of the top sky is like a Heaven. Overall saying the place is best to visit in the winter season. The view at this point is like the sky's touching the mountain here. Definitely worth visiting.

  • This is an awesome place whenever you visit. Just stop here and pause the moment and see the natural beauty around. Few tips if you are visiting her.. Bring your own food because quality of the food is not available here. It will be nice if you have bring some protection from rain. Specially for your mobile
