The Hankey Place garden is a little patch of land which was converted into a garden after the First World War as a part of a slum clearance programme. The place is named Hanky place after Donald hankey who had enlisted the place but died in the First World War. The garden is a very relaxing sight and is well tended and laden with a variety of Rose plants. Primarily a Rose garden it also has many other plants and shrubs. A walk in this small patch is all you need to feel the calm amidst nature.
