Samae most important is very clean !! Very cheap!! Quiet and near there is all the transport. There are many restaurants and many snack bars.I put 10 points !! I really liked it. I wish you success and good luck.
The location was fantastic. Rooms were basic but warm. Noise from street was minimal, however, the room we stayed in was opposite the laundry and the staff started their cleaning process very early in the morning which created a lot of noise. Noises from other guests in the hallway and stairwell and doors shutting can be heard very loudly from the room. Definitely recommend ear plugs. London accommodation is expensive so ultimately you get what you pay for here.
The saving grace for the Abercorn house is the fact that it’s close to the metro station. The room seems very basic in the first glance. But, the bed was super squeaky, the mattress was so thin that you could feel the bars in the frame of the bed. You couldn’t even turn sides without the whole bed shaking and the bed making a high pitched squeaky sound. There’s also no way to close the doors softly, so every time someone opened and closed their doors, you would hear a super loud bang noise. Same with the doors to the showers and the toilets. Would not recommend staying here if you’re hoping to stay somewhere nice and quiet. Very disappointing.
Always better than Shakespeare's Red Anchor even good kitchen, honest people than more, good staff, I loved that spiritual Jin tonic from last season.
If you are visiting London on a budget, this is for you! Clean toilets and baths, the rooms and hotel itself could use some upgrades, e.g. our wall paper was falling of. It’s very close to three metro lines, and a lot of busses. Also in the proximity is a big supermarket (Tesco) where you can buy food to microwave, because even though each floor has 4 kitchens (with stoves and ovens), all its utensils are missing, or not there in the first place.. Would definitely come again next London trip.
