I visited with our children during half term. There was plenty of information and both my teenage son and 11 yo daughter enjoyed the visit. The guides were very good in explaining the history of the house over the ages,. We bought a single set of tickets for this venue only which I felt was quite pricey, although a return visit is allowed for a full 12 months. If I was to return and had enough time I would purchase the 'Full Story' ticket that allows visits to all 5 properties in the Shakesperes Birthplace Trust.
Perfect ! A great place to learn about the Hathaway and Shakespeare families. Great guides with a wealth of knowledge and passion. Worth a visit any time of the year.
We loved this place. Very dog friendly in the gardens. Beautiful grounds and orchard. We loved the 'sonnet booth'. The tour guide Jon was wonderful-very friendly and informative and went above and beyond with his passion and knowledge about the house. Would definitely recommend!
The entire site is full of wonders. The guides and role-players there are incredibly enthusiastic and they clearly love it! The grounds outside the cottage are beautifully landscaped. Young kids fascinated about nature will love the woodland trail, with information about certain animals spread throughout the trail. The toilet facilities are fantastic, not one bit dirty. I would totally recommend coming here as part of the whole Shakespeare Discovery ticket allowing you access to five sites in and around Stratford-upon-Avon.
Very interesting with informative and helpful guides/volunteers. Nice gardens and an interesting building. Recommend a visit to this place and to get a ticket that covers five places and lasts for 12 months
