Banqueting House in London was designed by Inigo Jones for King James I and in 1622. Located inside the Whitehall Palace, the Banqueting House is the only surviving building after the whole of it was destroyed in 1698. It was also the site of King Charles I execution in 1649. The house was meant to host state occasions, plays and masques. While you are in London, make sure to visit this old structure and marvel at its historicity.
