Great barnyard vibe, rustic seating and cool local atmosphere. The menu is very sharing and the wings are super TASTY! Grab some of the ironic cornbread in a bag. Brunch is GREAT too and the drink selections are good.
Never been before but had a really good dinner there. Could only describe the food as English tapas but boy was it good. Order more than one dish each if going with a few friends, sharing is caring here.
Modern restaurant with lovely service, really felt like the service is the best part. Food is overpriced for what you get. Would still recommend if you like to have breakfast/brunch in a quite relaxed and quiet place.
A really, REALLY enjoyable dinner. Worth the wait. There's no booking at Barnyard so I'd recommend you don't show up at peak times. We were seated at the bar on a weeknight after about a 15 minute wait. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was warm, woody and, you know, a bit like a barn (without being too gimmicky - we are on Charlotte St after all!). The food is excellent. You want two or three small plates each. I'd actually describe it as modern european cooking on the whole, though there's a tinge of American in there. The suckling pig with gooseberry was a particularly indulgent highlight for me. Recommended! Though watch out for peak times as I said. It's on a lot of people's radar.
Everything was great: the staff, the atmosphere, the food was awesome. Even the broccoli was delicious. The little bavettes were delicious, chicken wings were delectable, we ordered too much food for the table really but ate all of it... even saw some guy drinking a glass of milk. That's a little beside the point, but the point is that we had a great time here. Fully recommend.
