  • Good cocktails, served at a glacial place. I love the drinks here, but life is just too short for the wait. A friendly barman is one thing, a barman that is too busy chatting to tend the bar is another.

  • Visiting one evening with some friends and despite the bar area being empty we were told that they are closing in 5 mins when actually it was in 35 mins, a statement they later revised. I am independently wealthy but unfortunately for me was dressed in a polo shirt, jeans and shoes which was obviously frowned upon. I have been here for business meetings at the same time on the same night and greeted with a smile and ushered in, when in business attire. Incredible that in this day and age, pure elitism exists. Strongly recommend you frequent one of the numerous other hotel bars that are not so toffee nosed and elitist and where the bar staff don't fabricate the truth.
