  • From time to time i enjoy to come to this place and order and bowl of mussels. They are good, priced reasonably and they come with a selection of bread or with fries depending on your choise. They have also good wine and beers from Belgium. The staff is always nice and I like the ambiance of the inside, a bit rough but pleasant. They have plenty of other choices if you don't like mussels

  • Good decor and excellent selection of Belgian beers. We shared food with friends, enjoyed lots of mussels, cheese, and the like. A bit noisy, but that was what we expected in the first place. Everyone enjoyed it.

  • The atmosphere was great and the food was really tasty. We had a nightmare getting there and they held the table for us even though we were really late! Booked for my friends birthday and it was right up his street. Great selection of beers and we’d recommend the mussels and venison burger. We’ll be back!

  • We haven't been here for a while but it has gone downhill so much. No lobster.... tasteless food. We ordered fish and chips with mint pea puree..... only they didn't have any! Seem to concentrate more on burgers.... go to McDonald's instead.... a whole lot cheaper. Very disappointed. Will not be returning or recommending!

  • I have been coming here since 2001 and I have now decided this place is not what it was. The quality of the food has declined. When entering the place was once alive with numerous chefs frantically preparing dishes. Now you can see food laying on hot plates waiting to be served. This impacts on the quality of mains and fries when they arrive at the table . Little touches that made the place so quirky and fun are gone. Very few staff now wear the monks habit, diners no longer descend to the restaurant in the large industrial lift, the Belgian beer advertising graphics have been replaced by flat screen TVs. Service has declined. A staff member got my beer order wrong three times yesterday and forgot one of the side orders. I have recently returned beer for being flat and had this quibbled on by staff. The place has also acquired an "eat up and leave" type of feel. No longer a place to linger. I won't be back for a while.
